Parametrejen

Parametrejen is the Finnish genitive plural form of the noun parametri, meaning “of the parameters” or “the parameters.” It is used when referring to multiple parameters in Finnish texts. The standard genitive plural is parametrien; parametrejen appears in some texts as a variant, reflecting dialectal or historical usage.

Parametri is borrowed from the international scientific vocabulary, from the English parameter, itself derived from Greek para- “beside” and metron “measure.” In Finnish usage, parametri denotes a quantity that defines or influences a system or model, often held fixed within an analysis or model specification. The plural forms parametrit (nominative) and parametrien (genitive plural) are standard; parametrejen is encountered in practice when the sentence requires a genitive plural form.
