Paleontológia
Paleontológia is the scientific study of life that existed prior to, and in some cases at the beginning of, the Holocene epoch. It is an interdisciplinary science that draws on geology, biology, and archaeology. Paleontologists examine fossils, which are the preserved remains or traces of ancient organisms, to understand the history of life on Earth, including the evolution of species, the reconstruction of ancient environments, and the study of extinct organisms.
The fossil record provides evidence of life forms that are no longer alive today, such as dinosaurs,
Key areas within paleontology include paleobiology, which focuses on the biology of extinct organisms; paleoecology, which
