Palaeopathological
Palaeopathology is the scientific study of diseases in ancient human and animal populations. It is a multidisciplinary field that draws upon archaeology, paleontology, medicine, and anthropology. Palaeopathologists examine skeletal remains, mummified tissues, and fossilized specimens to identify evidence of disease, injury, or congenital abnormalities that occurred during the lifetime of the organism.
