Pakkumiskõver

Pakkumiskõver, also known as the supply curve, is a fundamental concept in economics that illustrates the relationship between the price of a good or service and the quantity that producers are willing and able to offer for sale at that price. Typically, the supply curve slopes upward from left to right. This upward slope signifies a positive correlation: as the price of a good increases, the quantity supplied also increases, assuming all other factors remain constant. Conversely, a decrease in price leads to a decrease in the quantity supplied.

Several factors can influence the position and slope of the supply curve. These include the cost of inputs such as labor and raw materials, technological advancements that can improve efficiency, government policies like taxes and subsidies, and the number of sellers in the market. If the cost of production decreases, for example, producers can offer more at each price level, shifting the supply curve to the right. Conversely, an increase in production costs would shift the curve to the left, indicating less supply at any given price.

The interaction of the supply curve with the demand curve determines the market equilibrium price and quantity. Equilibrium occurs at the point where the quantity supplied equals the quantity demanded. Understanding the supply curve is crucial for analyzing market dynamics, predicting price changes, and evaluating the impact of economic policies on producers and consumers.
