PWMpõhine refers to a system or device that utilizes Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) as its primary operating principle. Pulse Width Modulation is a technique used to control the average power delivered to an electrical load by switching the supply voltage on and off rapidly. The "width" of the pulse, or the duration for which the voltage is on, is varied to control the amount of power. By adjusting this pulse width, the output can be made to appear as a steady voltage or current, even though it is actually a series of on-off pulses.
