PIARC

PIARC, officially the World Road Association, is an international federation that brings together national road authorities, government agencies, research institutions, and industry organizations involved in road transport. It serves as a platform for cooperation and knowledge exchange on policy, planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of road networks worldwide. The organization originated as the Permanent International Association of Road Congresses, a historic name reflected in its acronym.

Members participate in technical commissions and working groups that develop guidelines, best practices, and reference materials on a wide range of topics. Core areas include road design and pavement management, road safety, maintenance strategies, asset management, and the deployment of intelligent transport systems.
