PEMV
PEMV, or Pea early mosaic virus, is a plant pathogenic virus belonging to the family Tombusviridae. It is a single-stranded RNA virus that affects legumes, most notably peas (Pisum sativum). The virus is transmitted by the pea aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum, which acquires the virus by feeding on infected plants and then transmits it to healthy plants during feeding.
PEMV infection in peas can lead to a range of symptoms, including mosaic patterns on leaves, stunting
Diagnosis of PEMV typically involves serological methods such as ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) or molecular techniques
Management strategies for PEMV focus on minimizing virus spread and reducing the impact on crops. This includes
