PAOmärk is a biomimetic concept inspired by the structural and functional properties of the pine cone seed dispersal mechanism. Derived from the Swedish words “på” (on) and “märk” (mark or mark), PAOmärk emphasizes adhesion, dispersal, and environmental responsiveness. This concept leverages natural strategies for seed dispersal and attachment to optimize sustainable material use and distribution in engineering and environmental applications.
