Overgångsplattor
Overgångsplattor are a fundamental concept in geology, referring to the boundaries between the Earth's tectonic plates. These massive, rigid slabs of rock make up the Earth's lithosphere, and their movement and interactions at these boundaries are responsible for many of the planet's most significant geological phenomena. There are three main types of overgångsplattor: divergent, convergent, and transform boundaries.
At divergent overgångsplattor, plates move away from each other. This often occurs at mid-ocean ridges where
Convergent overgångsplattor are where plates collide. The outcome of such a collision depends on the type of
Transform overgångsplattor occur when plates slide past each other horizontally. This movement is not smooth; friction
