Overföringssvaret, also known as the transfer function in English, is a fundamental concept in system analysis, particularly in electrical engineering, control theory, and signal processing. It describes the relationship between the output of a linear time-invariant (LTI) system and its input. Mathematically, it is represented as the ratio of the Laplace transform of the output signal to the Laplace transform of the input signal, assuming all initial conditions are zero. Alternatively, in the frequency domain, it can be expressed as the ratio of the Fourier transform of the output to the Fourier transform of the input.
