Organostibine

Organostibine refers to a class of organometallic compounds in which a carbon atom is bonded to an antimony atom. The general formula for organostibines is R_nSbR'_3-n, where R and R' represent organic groups and n can be 1, 2, or 3. The simplest organostibines are stibines, which have the formula R3Sb. For example, trimethylstibine, (CH3)3Sb, is a stibine. Compounds with one or two organic groups attached to antimony are often referred to as organoantimony compounds.

Organostibines exhibit a range of chemical properties depending on the nature of the organic substituents. They can act as ligands in coordination chemistry, forming complexes with transition metals.
