Onlarla

Onlarla is a Turkish grammatical form meaning “with them.” It is the instrumental case formed by attaching the suffix -la to the third-person plural pronoun onlar, yielding the common written form onlarla. The construction expresses accompaniment or association and is used with verbs to indicate actions done in the company of other people.

In use, onlarla functions like a prepositional phrase and does not require a separate preposition. Examples include: Onlarla konuştum (I talked with them), Onlarla gittik (We went with them), and Onlarla çalışıyorum (I am working with them). It can be combined with other words to emphasize togetherness, as in Onlarla birlikte çalışıyoruz (We are working together with them).

Turkish also offers ile as an alternative preposition meaning “with.” ile is more formal or literary, and with pronouns it can appear as onlar ile, though onlarla is far more common in everyday speech.
