Oglykozylácie
Oglykozylácie refers to a group of chemical reactions where a glycosyl group is attached to another molecule. This "other molecule" is often called a glycosyl acceptor. Glycosyl groups are derived from sugars, hence the name "glyco" which relates to sugar. The bond formed during this process is known as a glycosidic bond. O-glycosylation specifically indicates that the glycosyl group is attached to an oxygen atom within the acceptor molecule. This acceptor molecule can be another sugar (forming oligosaccharides or polysaccharides), a protein, a lipid, or a smaller organic molecule.
These reactions are fundamental in biological systems. In nature, O-glycosylation is a common post-translational modification of
Chemically, O-glycosylations can be achieved through various synthetic methods. These often involve activating a glycosyl donor
