Odense

Odense is the third-largest city in Denmark, located on the island of Funen in the southern part of the country. It serves as the administrative center of Odense Municipality and is a major cultural and economic hub on Funen. The city lies along the Odense River, whose course runs through a historic center that blends medieval and modern architecture.

Odense is best known as the birthplace of the author Hans Christian Andersen. His childhood home and the H.C. Andersen Museum in the city center preserve his early life and works.
