Obolon
Obolon is a historic district located in the northern part of Kyiv, Ukraine. It is situated on the left bank of the Dnipro River and is known for its large residential areas, recreational spaces, and industrial enterprises. Historically, the area was marshy and undeveloped, with its name possibly deriving from the Slavic word for "shore" or "bank." Significant development of Obolon began in the latter half of the 20th century, transforming it into a major urban center.
