OKey

OKey is a popular four-player rummy-style card game played with two standard decks of playing cards. The objective of the game is to be the first player to empty their hand by forming valid sets and runs, and then melding them onto the table.

The game begins with each player being dealt a specific number of cards, typically thirteen. The remaining cards form a draw pile, and the top card is turned face up to start the discard pile. Players take turns drawing a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile, and then discarding one card from their hand face up onto the discard pile.

Valid melds in OKey consist of sets, which are three or more cards of the same rank but different suits, or runs, which are three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. Jokers are often used as wild cards and can represent any card needed to complete a set or run. Once a player has formed all their cards into valid melds, they can declare "OK" (or "Okey") and lay down their melds. The first player to do so wins the round. Points are typically awarded based on the cards remaining in the opponents' hands. The game can be played for a predetermined number of rounds or until a player reaches a certain score. Variations in rules, such as the number of jokers or specific scoring methods, exist among different groups of players.
