OCIDocker

OCIDocker is a term that refers to the use of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Container Registry, also known as OCI Registry, to store and manage Docker images. OCI Container Registry is a fully managed, scalable, and private registry service that allows developers to store, manage, and secure their Docker images within OCI. It is compatible with the Docker Registry HTTP API V2, meaning standard Docker CLI commands can be used to push and pull images to and from OCI.

This integration facilitates a streamlined DevOps workflow. Developers can build Docker images and push them to OCI Container Registry. These images can then be used by OCI services like Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) or Container Instances to deploy applications. The registry provides features such as image vulnerability scanning, granular access control through OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM), and integration with OCI logging and monitoring services for enhanced security and operational visibility.
