Nükleasyonda

Nükleasyonda refers to the process of nuclear fission in Turkish. Nuclear fission is a nuclear reaction in which the nucleus of an atom splits into smaller parts, often producing free neutrons and a very large amount of energy. This process can release substantial amounts of energy in the form of photons and kinetic energy of the fission fragments.

The most common fissile isotopes are Uranium-235 and Plutonium-239. When a neutron strikes the nucleus of one of these isotopes, it can become unstable and undergo fission. This fission typically results in two lighter nuclei, known as fission products, and several fast neutrons. These released neutrons can then go on to cause further fission events, leading to a chain reaction if enough fissile material is present in a critical mass.

The energy released during nükleasyonda is harnessed in nuclear power plants to generate electricity. It is also the principle behind nuclear weapons. The controlled release of energy in a nuclear reactor is crucial for safe power generation, while an uncontrolled chain reaction is the basis for the destructive power of nuclear explosives.
