Näkejärvi
Näkejärvi is a lake located in the municipality of Pertunmaa, South Savo, Finland. The lake's surface area is approximately 7.8 square kilometers. Its name is derived from the Finnish word "näki", likely referring to the kingfisher bird, and "järvi", meaning lake. The lake is situated within the Vuoksi River basin. Its primary outflow is the Ruuhijoki river, which eventually leads to the Saimaa lake system. Näkejärvi is characterized by its moderately deep waters and a shoreline that features a mix of forest and agricultural land. The lake supports a variety of fish species typical of Finnish inland waters, including perch, pike, and zander.
