Nyomáspontot, also known as the boiling point, is the temperature at which a liquid changes into a gas or vapor when the surrounding atmospheric pressure is equal to the vapor pressure of the liquid. This phenomenon is a result of the balance between the vapor pressure of the liquid and the external pressure exerted on the liquid's surface. The boiling point is a characteristic property of a substance and varies with the applied pressure. For example, water boils at 100 degrees Celsius at standard atmospheric pressure, but at higher altitudes where the atmospheric pressure is lower, water boils at a lower temperature. Conversely, at higher pressures, the boiling point increases.
