Ntributylamine
Ntributylamine, also known as tributylamine or tri-n-butylamine, is a tertiary amine with the chemical formula (CH3CH2CH2CH2)3N. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a characteristic ammoniacal odor. Ntributylamine is soluble in organic solvents but has limited solubility in water. It is a relatively weak base and reacts with acids to form salts.
This compound finds various applications primarily as an intermediate in organic synthesis and as a solvent.
Ntributylamine is generally considered to have low acute toxicity, but like many amines, it can be irritating
