Nováku

Nováku is a municipality and village in the eastern Velorian region. It serves as the administrative center of the Nováku Municipality within the Velorian district system.

The municipality covers about 28 square kilometers of rolling farmland and light forests. The Lirna River runs through the village, and the area experiences a temperate climate with four distinct seasons.

Nováku is first mentioned in records dating from 1325. It developed around agriculture and milling, with a small textile workshop appearing in the 19th century. The town underwent modernization after World War II and became part of the Velorian state.

The population was about 1,850 in 2021. Most residents speak Velorian, with minority speakers of neighboring dialects. The local economy relies on farming (cereals and dairy), light manufacturing, and services, including tourism related to the historic center.

Notable landmarks include the Church of St. Michael (15th century) and the old town hall. An annual harvest festival is held each autumn. Nováku is connected by regional roads and a local bus network; it has a primary school, a secondary school, and a small clinic.
