Novomoskovsky
Novomoskovsky is a town located in Tula Oblast, Russia. It is situated on the banks of the Don River, approximately 100 kilometers south of Tula, the administrative center of the oblast. The town was founded in 1935 as a settlement for workers of the nearby Novomoskovsky Iron and Steel Works, which was established in 1933. The works were part of the Soviet Union's efforts to industrialize the region during the 1930s.
