Northaven

Northaven is a small town in the Riverbend region. As of recent estimates, the population is around 8,500 residents. The town covers a compact area of roughly 6 square miles and sits in a river valley framed by rolling hills. The landscape includes residential neighborhoods, farms, and a historic commercial core near the town square.

Founded in the late 19th century as a railroad town, Northaven developed around a timber and farming economy. It grew steadily after incorporation in 1892, later diversifying into light manufacturing and services. The Northaven Historical Society maintains records and a small museum focusing on the town's development.

Northaven is governed by a mayor and a six-member town council operating under a council-manager framework. The economy is mixed, with agriculture (dairy and fruit orchards), manufacturing, retail, and health care. The Northaven Hospital is a regional employer, along with several family-owned farms and light manufacturers.

Cultural facilities include the Northaven Library, a community theater, and a weekly farmers market. An annual Harvest Festival draws visitors from surrounding communities.
