Norjastans

Norjastans is a term used to refer to a group of Central Asian countries whose names end with the suffix "-stan". This suffix is derived from Persian and means "land of" or "place of". The primary countries commonly included in this designation are Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Historically, these regions have been shaped by various empires, including the Persian, Turkic, Mongol, and Russian empires, leading to a rich tapestry of cultural and linguistic influences.

The geography of the Norjastan countries is diverse, encompassing vast steppes, towering mountain ranges like the Pamirs and Tian Shan, and significant desert areas. These landscapes have influenced their economies and lifestyles, with many traditionally being nomadic or agrarian. Today, their economies are a mix of agriculture, resource extraction (particularly oil, gas, and minerals), and growing industrial sectors.
