Norbertus
Norbertus, also known as Norbert of Xanten, was a German Benedictine monk and the founder of the Premonstratensian Order. Born around 1080 in the Duchy of Saxony, Norbertus was educated at the cathedral school of Xanten, where he became a priest. He later joined the Benedictine Order and was appointed as the abbot of the monastery of Prüm in 1115.
