Nonmodulating refers to a state or mechanism in biological, chemical, or technological systems where a response or signal does not change in amplitude, frequency, or intensity in response to an input stimulus. In neuroscience, nonmodulating activity may describe a neuron or neural pathway that does not exhibit typical synaptic plasticity or adaptive responses.
