NonSSTRexpressing refers to a type of cell or tissue that does not express somatostatin receptors (SSTR). Somatostatin receptors are a family of G protein-coupled receptors that play a key role in regulating various physiological processes, including hormone secretion, cell growth, and differentiation.

Cells or tissues that do not express SSTRs are often insensitive to the regulatory effects of somatostatin, a hormone that typically inhibits the secretion of growth hormone, thyrotropin, and other hormones.
