It is situated along the banks of the Congo River, approximately 150 kilometers north of the capital city, Brazzaville. The village is primarily inhabited by the Bantu-speaking people, who engage in subsistence farming, fishing, and small-scale trading. Nojaan is known for its lush forests and diverse wildlife, which include various species of monkeys, birds, and reptiles.
