Nobatia
Nobatia was a medieval Nubian kingdom that occupied the northern part of Nubia along the Nile, in the area of present-day northern Sudan and southern Egypt. It emerged in the 4th century CE in the wake of the Meroitic state’s decline and became one of the early Christian polities of the region, to be followed in the broader Nubian world by Makuria and Alodia.
