Nietkoolstofatomen

Nietkoolstofatomen refer to atoms of elements other than carbon. In chemistry, carbon holds a unique and central position due to its ability to form a vast number of complex molecules. This is largely attributed to carbon's valency, allowing it to form four stable covalent bonds with other atoms, including other carbon atoms, creating long chains, rings, and intricate structures. Molecules predominantly composed of carbon are known as organic compounds.
