Newtownards
Newtownards is a market town in County Down, Northern Ireland. It lies on the Ards Peninsula, approximately fifteen miles east of Belfast, at the northern end of Strangford Lough. The town is the administrative centre of the Ards and North Down Borough Council. Historically, Newtownards was a significant centre for linen manufacturing and shipbuilding.
