Nevots

Nevots are a small, fictional species native to the planet Xylos. They are characterized by their bioluminescent skin, which allows them to communicate and navigate in the dim light of their homeworld. Nevots typically stand around three feet tall and have a slender build with four arms. Their diet consists primarily of glowing fungi and subterranean insects.

The Nevot society is organized into small, communal clusters called "glow-pods." These pods are led by an elder, chosen for their wisdom and ability to interpret the subtle shifts in bioluminescent patterns. Nevots are known for their peaceful nature and their deep connection to the natural environment of Xylos. They have developed a sophisticated understanding of Xylos's unique ecosystem and are skilled in herbalism and bio-engineering, using organic materials for tools and shelter.

Their culture places a high value on harmony and cooperation. Disputes are rare and are typically resolved through quiet contemplation and shared observation of bioluminescent displays, which are believed to convey emotional states and intentions. Nevots have no concept of warfare or aggression. Their technology, while advanced in its understanding of biological processes, is largely non-intrusive, focusing on sustainable integration with their environment. They possess a gentle curiosity about the universe but have shown little interest in interstellar travel, preferring to focus on the well-being of Xylos and its inhabitants.
