Neutralhaltung

Neutralhaltung refers to the principle of neutrality adopted by a state, meaning it does not participate in wars between other states and does not align itself with any military alliances. This policy aims to safeguard a state's independence and security by avoiding entanglement in foreign conflicts.

Historically, neutrality has been recognized under international law, with specific rights and obligations for neutral states. These include the right to unimpeded passage for its citizens and goods and the obligation not to supply belligerents with war materials or allow their territory to be used for military purposes.
