Nervisüsteem

Nervisüsteem is an Estonian term for the nervous system, which is a system that provides structural and functional support for both the central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS). In the context of Estonian, the term specifically refers to the anatomical and physiological systems within living organisms that coordinate the body's responses to various stimuli and regulate behavior, sensory perception, and movement.

The nervous system consists of neurons, which are specialized cells responsible for transmitting signals between different parts of the system.
