Nepítelný
Nepítelný is a Czech adjective that translates to undrinkable in English. It describes something that cannot be consumed as a beverage due to its taste, smell, quality, or composition. This can apply to a wide range of substances. For example, water that is heavily polluted or contains a foul taste would be described as nepítelný. Similarly, alcoholic beverages that are poorly made, spoiled, or excessively bitter might also be deemed nepítelný. The term can extend beyond liquids to describe substances that are not intended for drinking but are particularly unpleasant or harmful if ingested. In a broader, figurative sense, nepítelný can also be used to describe something extremely unpleasant or unbearable, though this is a less common usage. The core meaning, however, consistently relates to the inability to drink something due to its undesirable properties.
