Ndërtuesit

Ndërtuesit is the Albanian term for "the builders." It designates people or groups involved in constructing buildings and infrastructure, as well as the companies and organizations that undertake such work. The singular form is ndërtuesi, and the definite plural is ndërtuesit.

Ndërtuesit covers a broad range of actors, including construction workers, masons, carpenters, engineers, architects, and real estate developers, as well as construction firms and public-sector bodies responsible for planning and procurement. In everyday use, the term often refers to those who initiate or complete building projects, from residential housing to public works.

Etymology and grammar: The verb ndërto means to build, and the agent noun suffix -ues creates the noun ndërtues, “builder.” The definite plural is ndërtuesit, “the builders.” The form is common across Albanian-speaking regions, including Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia’s Albanian communities.
