Nayanmar
Nayanmar, also known as Nayanars, are a group of 63 Tamil Hindu saints and poets who lived in South India during the 7th to 9th centuries CE. They are revered for their devotion to the god Shiva and their contributions to Tamil literature and culture. The term "Nayanmar" translates to "Lord of the Eyes," a title given to Shiva, as the Nayanars are believed to have had direct visionary experiences of the deity.
