Narasimhadeva
Narasimhadeva was a prominent ruler of the Ganga dynasty who reigned in the Kalinga region, corresponding to modern-day Odisha, India. He is most famously known for commissioning the Sun Temple at Konark. Narasimhadeva ascended to the throne around 1238 CE and his reign marked a period of significant architectural and cultural achievements. He was a powerful warrior and successfully defended his kingdom against invasions from the Bengal Sultanate.
