Nanomateriál

Nanomateriál refers to materials that have at least one dimension scaled down to the range of 1 to 100 nanometers. A nanometer is one billionth of a meter. At this scale, materials can exhibit unique properties that differ significantly from their bulk counterparts. These changes in properties can include altered optical, electrical, mechanical, and magnetic characteristics.

The study and application of nanomaterials are collectively known as nanotechnology. Nanomaterials can be synthesized through various methods, including top-down approaches (e.g., grinding larger materials to nanoscale) and bottom-up approaches (e.g., assembling atoms and molecules). Examples of common nanomaterials include nanoparticles, nanotubes, and nanowires.

These unique properties make nanomaterials valuable in a wide range of applications. In medicine, they are explored for drug delivery, diagnostics, and tissue engineering. In electronics, they enable smaller and more powerful devices. The field of materials science also extensively utilizes nanomaterials to create stronger, lighter, and more durable substances.
