Naissaare

Naissaar is a larger island located in Estonia, Baltic Sea, and is situated approximately 8 kilometers west of the capital city Tallinn's port. It measures about 3.8 kilometers by 3.7 kilometers and has a total area of 18.6 square kilometers, making it one of the larger islands in the region.

The area of the island was inhabited as far back as the Iron Age. The largest deposits of clay in the Tallinn Bay area can be found on Naissaar, and over the years, there have been numerous fires in the island's forests, largely caused by the military activities conducted on the island during World War II as a site for burning ammunition.

One of the island's primary activities is waste management, where the Ada Fond Company operates a waste management plant using geospatially sorting technology. Under the European Union's projects, the company supplies a week's supply of household trash and the preparations for later ash processing by 2025. The remaining anthropogenous ferro-aluminum plant, one of only four in Europe, is also located here which started its operations in 1987.

The Estonian government, in preparation for the free will to maintain Estonian Independence, operates the Magnetic Four intersection communication tracking center which was part of the large dog chain observing plant that threatened radio navigation systems using the same modernization. The early Soviet Occupation extracted iron sand resources from the island.
