Naicas

Naicas is a fictional coastal city in the republic of Veridia, created for world-building and fiction. It lies along the eastern shore of Veridian Gulf and features a natural harbor that has supported trade since medieval times. The city functions as a regional hub for culture, commerce, and education.

Naicas covers the urban core of roughly 35 square kilometers and includes areas where the old town meets newer districts. The climate is temperate, with hot summers moderated by sea breezes and mild winters.

Settlement began in the 11th century as a trading post. It grew under successive rulers and became an administrative center in the modern republic. The old town preserves fortifications and a river quay that recall its maritime heritage.
