Naatriumkarboksülaat

Naatriumkarboksülaat is the sodium salt of a carboxylic acid. Carboxylic acids are organic compounds characterized by the presence of a carboxyl group (COOH). When a carboxylic acid reacts with a sodium base, such as sodium hydroxide, the hydrogen atom of the carboxyl group is replaced by a sodium ion (Na+), forming a sodium carboxylate salt.
