NBCn1

NBCn1, also known as NBC1 or SLC4A8, is a member of the sodium bicarbonate cotransporter (NBC) family. These transporters are responsible for moving sodium ions and bicarbonate ions across cell membranes, playing a crucial role in pH regulation and other cellular processes. NBCn1 is encoded by the SLC4A8 gene and is found in various tissues throughout the body, including the brain, kidney, and pancreas.
