Níquelhidruro
Níquelhidruro is a chemical compound that refers to a hydride of nickel. In its most common form, it is often found in the context of rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries. In these batteries, the negative electrode is typically made of a metal alloy that can absorb and release hydrogen. When the battery is charged, hydrogen is absorbed by the alloy, forming nickel hydride species within the electrode structure. During discharge, this hydrogen is released and reacts with nickel oxyhydroxide in the positive electrode to produce electricity.
The term níquelhidruro itself can also refer to specific nickel hydride compounds that may be synthesized
