Mõõterõngas

Mõõterõngas is an Estonian term that translates to "measuring ring" or "caliper ring" in English. It refers to a specific type of measuring tool used for determining the diameter of an object. These rings are typically circular or oval and are manufactured to precise internal dimensions.

The primary function of a mõõterõngas is to check if an object falls within a specified size range. An object is considered to be within tolerance if it can pass through the ring, or if it fits snugly within the ring without excessive play. Conversely, if the object cannot pass through the ring, it is too large, and if it passes through too easily, it is too small.
