Määrittäjä

Määrittäjä is a Finnish word that translates to "determiner" in English. In linguistics, determiners are a grammatical class of words that precede nouns to specify their reference. They function to indicate whether a noun is specific or general, known or unknown, singular or plural, and so on.

In Finnish grammar, the concept of a distinct word class called "määrittäjä" is not as rigidly defined as in some other languages. However, certain words and grammatical constructions serve the function of determiners.
