Märkäkuivain
Märkäkuivain, also known as a wet scrubber, is an air pollution control device used to remove particulate matter and gases from industrial exhaust streams. It operates by using a liquid, typically water, to trap or absorb the pollutants. The dirty gas enters the scrubber and comes into contact with the scrubbing liquid. This contact can occur in various ways, such as through spraying the liquid into the gas stream, allowing the gas to bubble through a pool of liquid, or passing the gas through a wetted packing material.
The primary mechanisms of pollutant removal in a märkäkuivain are impaction, interception, adsorption, and absorption. Particulate
