Muovikorttia, also known as "moving picture card" in English, is a type of photographic card that was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is characterized by its rectangular shape and the use of a flexible, gelatin-based emulsion that allows the image to bend without breaking. This flexibility was a significant advantage over traditional glass plates, which were more fragile and difficult to handle.

Muovikorttia cards were typically 5x7 inches in size and were used for both amateur and professional photography. They were popular for their ease of use and the ability to produce multiple prints from a single negative. The process involved exposing the card to light through a camera lens, developing the image in a darkroom, and then printing it onto paper.
