Multilokulárnost refers to a characteristic or state of having multiple locules or chambers. This term is primarily used in biological and botanical contexts. In botany, it describes the number of compartments within an ovary or a fruit, which is a key feature for plant classification. For example, a flower's ovary might be unilocular (one chamber), bilocular (two chambers), or multilocular (more than two chambers). The number of locules often correlates with the number of ovules and, consequently, the number of seeds a plant can produce.
